Ptosis surgery got denied - can it be fixed? (Photo)
I am 25. I have mild congenital ptosis that used to be barely visible unless my eyelids were insanely tired, but now in the past years and especially this year it has been drooping more. It is now more noticable if my eyes are in a resting position and especially if my right eyelid is tired. The oculoplastic surgeon that I found after asking for me to send photos of my eyes when im looking forward/closed/from the side, said based on those pictures that I should wait a couple years and that I was not a qualified candidate for the surgery, but why would this be the case? My right eyelid has been drooping more and it takes more effort if I want to appear to minimize the drooping my using more energy/muscle around my right eye area. So I still want to have ptosis surgery. Could anyone elaborate on if this can be fixed, why the doctor would deny me and your overall thoughts, please.
