Gap on side of lips - would a lip lift or fillers be the solution here? (Photos)

I have always had a slight gap in my lips on the right side. It’s started to get bigger as smile and I have aged. What can be done here?

The lip lift incision should not compromise circulation to your nose. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Thank you for the photos. Yes, your ratios are such that an upper lip lift will add more balance to the face. In fact, you appear to be an ideal candidate for it and should do very well. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia.

Yes, you do appear to be a candidate for a corner lip lift. I would also add possibly a small amount of fat to your lips as well. This will give the best aesthetic result. The corner lip will add a little more vermilion border to the corner of the lip and give you a more symmetric upper lip...

A conservative lip lift about 4 mm as well as a muscle lift will likely not change the distance very much between your nose and your lips, but will give you more incisive show.
