My upper lip got ripped off when I waxed while taking Accutane, what shall I do? (photo)

Question

I started taking my dose of 48 mg of Accutane on 7th of june.. ( one week ago ) and on 13th june, I waxed my upper lip thinking that the medicine didn't start to work yet so I can do them. My right side of the lip get peeled off, the first layer of the skin is peeled and it stings too much. I put Vaseline only. yesterday ( one day after the incident ) it started to scab, and today the scab peels, but under it the skin is still red. does this mean that I got permanent scars ? what shall I do ? please HELP

You cannot wax while on Accutane, period. You need to apply hydrocortisone and Vaseline and keep the area moist throughout the day. Also use sunscreen liberally. Hopefully it will resolve but you may have hyperpigmentation for some time. Don't wax while taking Accutane! "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
