I've had lip fillers for 5 years-- tried them a few times with different fillers. I have a longer philtrum which appears even longer after a bad septoplasty I had (getting a reversal revision to replicate old nose). I dislike my upper but don't want a lip lift because a top NYC surgeon told me young people shouldn't do them due to scarring. I also just want to look more like me & I've found my philtrum looks longer and puffier from most angles with fillers. Would dissolving them help?
Answer: Fillers Can Be Used To Successfully Establish More Ideal Lip Proportions, Enhance The White Roll, & Create More Sensual Pouts I have personally been performing lip filler treatments for well over three decades, since the early days following the FDA-approval and introduction of the original, injectable Zyderm collagen fillers. Since that time, a whole class of natural, hyaluronic acid-based fillers have been introduced specifically for treating the lips themselves, as well as for the surrounding areas, such as the philtral columns. There is no substitute for an in-person, closeup examination( that allows for manipulation and palpation of the tissues) or at the very least a series of frontal and profile views HD photos, it is impossible to answer you in any, but the most general way. What I can say is that fillers can be injected to enhance or reestablish the philtral columns when they have shrunk or have become absent altogether (something that occurs frequently with age and makes the white part of the upper lip leading up to the nose appear exceedling long). Fillers can also be used to define the white roll and lip borders (between the body of the red lips and the surrounding upper and lower white lips). And of course, volumizing fillers can help to augment shrunken or so-called "pencil lips" and enhance or create the central and more sensual pout to the lower lip and appropriate projection in profile of the upper lip over the lower. When properly done, a greater harmony is established between the nose, mouth and chin, both in frontal and profile views. Make sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician with experience and expertise in nonsurgical, filler lip and perioral augmentation. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Lip augmentation Dear Imaginative9857, I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns. I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months. Answer: Can lip fillers make the upper lip look longer? Thank you for sharing your question. Dissolving your fillers will only return to you to your previous lip appearance and the decision to pursue this treatment will depend on what you find most attractive. Hope this helps.

Answer: Treating long philtrum There are multiple causes for a long philtrum and each one should be treated accordingly and differently from the others. I would recommend that you see a plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person or at least submit a good set of photographs where we can see your face with and without a smile. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City plastic surgery
