How long after an otoplasty can I return back to school?

I will get an otoplasty on one of my ears 5 days before school starts from the summer break.Are five days enough or should i wait longer?

I had done otoplasty 10 days ago I was wondering using headphones will do damage to my ears or slow swelling time?

Hi. Thank you for your question. There is no inconvenience to use headphones. They just shouldn`t be too big so that they put too much pressure on your ears. It would be better to use smaller ones in the beginning, those which are placed in the auditory canal. Hope this was helpful.

Hi. Thank you for your question. Usually the numbness can take between 2 and 4 months. Up to now, all my patients had their sensibility back after a couple of months. I hope this was helpful.

Following Otoplasty surgery, my patients typically have their ears bandaged for 48 hours.  I typically see patients in 24 hours after surgery, and remove the bandages to examine the surgical sites.  I then rewrap the patient for an additional 24 hours to keep gentle compression on the ears.  At...
