Uneven areola size (Photos)

Question

So I just did as instructed by my surgeon and took the tape off and I'm having concerns about the size of my areolas. I'm 17 days PO with Benelli lift and silicon implants. Now I know that I did have pretty significant asymmetry to start with, but I'm worried that it will look very different after the final results. Am I going to be stuck with very different looking areolas or will they become closer in shape overtime? Please help!

In the before photos the left side was about 30% wider than the left side, and the augmentation, even with the Benelli lift, will make the bigger areola to stretch more, as there is more skin on that side. As you only have 17 days from the surgery there is a lot of swelling and tension on the skin and once the swelling goes down, and the implants drop a little, the result will look different. It is important to be patient with the recovery and wait at least 3 to 4 months to evaluate the final result and see if is necessary for you to get a revision on the areola size.

At this point in your recovery, it is much too soon to be worried about the outcome.  It takes time for things to heal. It may be 6 months or more before the shape has reached its final look.  Be patient.

You are very early postop and the scars will take a number of months to settle. Everything will change and it is too early to be able to judge your result.
