Im 5 2 175 lbs and am trying to get back to my usual self 125-130.need to lose 50lbs.im scheduled for lipo this week but since lipo isnt for weight loss is it a good idea to also get the intergastric balloon for the weight loss or what are some suggestions?

I don't see why u couldn't have a balloon. I do recommend that you loose the weight before the liposu

Exciting that you are on this journey !
As you stated liposuction is not a weight loss procedure.
For our patients, we recommend participating in one of our weight loss programs with medications, balloons or endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty depending on the amount of weight and health issues that are present.
Once goal weight and health are achieved, we have patients remain at that place for 6 months and then move forward with the fun stuff like liposuction ! 
Gastric balloons are very helpful at jumpstarting a health journey and patients usually lose 30-50 pounds in the 6-8 months that the balloon is in place.

I recommend to drop the weight first. You can have the Gastric Spatz3 Balloon placed which will give you up to a year of weight loss. I've done thousands of these balloons and the results have been amazing. Once your body reaches your ideal weight, then i recommend to at that point look at cosmetic options as your body will have changed by then.

You're right: liposuction is for body contour and reshaping; it has nothing to do with improving your health or losing weight.Gastric Balloon is meant for people with a BMI of 30-40, who are willing to commit to a year long dietary/exercise program, and also have an extra 5-9K dollars for the cash procedure!The Gastric Ballon is not any easy fix. Granted you are likely to lose 3x more weight than diet and exercise alone, it can be a difficult road with nausea/vomiting and changes in your lifestyle.Good luck on your path to improved health and looks!

I recommend getting the balloon first, loose some weight then get the lipo for best results. The average weight loss with the balloon is 20 lbs in 6 months.
