There are many physicians in your General geographic area who are experienced an injection of Restylane into the tear troughs. I would recommend meeting with experienced injector, seeing if you feel that individual understands and can address your concerns, and checking their online reputation before making a final decision
Thank you for your question!!It is wise for you to do research prior to under eye correction as the tear trough is commonly overfilled or overcorrected with the wrong fillers. Our specialty is facial plastics with injectables being a huge part of our daily clinic. Depending on the patient's anatomy, filler can be an amazing option to address hollowing as well as dark circles. Volume loss in other areas of the face can commonly contribute to worsening of the under eye area and other treatments may be necessary prior to placing under eye filler. Restylane products are what we most commonly use to address hollowing. We only use a cannula to administer the filler as this is the safest method with minimal discomfort, low risk of bruising, and only minor swelling. We'd love to consult with you regarding your specific goals/needs. Thanks again!
I suggest finding an expert injector who uses cannulas for filling, these provide meticulous results with little risk of complications, bruising or pain. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi Joann,I would refer you to either Seth Yellin, MD or Louis DeJoseph, MD. Good luck and be well.Dr. P
Injecting Restylane in tear troughs is an off label use of the product. You would be best served to have an in person evaluation by a board certified surgeon with expertise in periocular rejuvenation.
A good website to find a doctor in your area that is board certified in plastic surgery would be surgery.org or plasticsurgery.orgGood luck!
There is an outstanding Dermatologist injector in your immediate area of Alpharetta, Dr Tiffani Hamilton.
It is of some concern that your lips swelled long after the injection and you had strep without taking the full couse of antibiotics. I think the most likely problem is that your lips got infected from the strep infection and you need further antibiotics. You might need a second opinion.
Hi @Liz_Woods! Hyaluronic acid facial filler products that were previously injected into an improper tissue plane can be dissolved by hyaluronidase injections. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
This far out, Restylane shouldn't be causing any eye problems. I don't think redness is from Restylane. I think you should see an Ophthalmologist to get a good eye exam.
