Deep Hollow Under the Lateral Cheekbone — Why Can’t Fat Be Placed There?

Persistent507845
I have prominent cheekbones but a deep hollow under the lateral part of the cheekbone (lateral submalar/subzygomatic area). I originally developed this hollow after losing weight, but even after gaining the weight back the area still stays sunken. My doctor said fat grafting isn’t possible there because there is not enough structural support and the fat wouldn’t stay. Is this accurate? What are the alternatives for restoring volume in this area?
