Is it safe to undergo laser hair removal while on azithromycin?

My GP just prescribed azithromycin 250mg zpack bc I have laryngitis but I am scheduled for a laser hair removal treatment for brazilian and underarms tomorrow.

Thank you for your question. I do not recommend having laser hair removal treatment until you are finished with your antibiotics. This is because antibiotics can change the sensitivity of your skin to lights and also change the normal bacteria of the skin. It is best to reschedule your appointment. Best of Luck!

There is no issue with being on azithromycin while having laser hair removal, or getting botox or fillers at the same time.

Hi ad thanks for your question. As antibiotics can change the sensitivity of skin to lights and also change the normal bacteria of the skin I do not recommend you to go laser now. But I would also not recommend you to take antibiotics for laryngitis as this is usually a viral infection unless you have signs of a bacterial infection

I don't think you will have a problem.  It is notorious for being photosensitizing.  If there is no rush, i would wait just to eliminate any potential for interaction.
