How effective is Lynton Lumina 650 on permanent hair removal for type II skin?

Hello, I have had a consultation for laser hair removal using the lynton lumina 650 and was told I have skin type II . I have since been doing research online and it seems that IPL treatment is not as effective or permenant as laser treatment? I have a mixture of hair that is coarse and fine but all dark. Would it be better for me to get laser treatment for better/longer lasting results or will IPL work just as well on my skin type?

The title says it all. There is no such thing as permanent hair removal only permanent hair reduction. Hair can grow back and is depending on numerous factors e.g. Pregnancy, hormonal change. After permanent hair reduction it is common to need one to treatments a year to maintain results. Generally laser hair removal has been proven to be superior to IPL. At my clinic we have the Soprano Ice machine but the biggest determining factor is the laser therapist performing the treatment. With your skin type you should get good results with laser. My advice is to try a few clinics and get a few patch tests and choose the one that you are most comfortable with.
