Hard bump in lip years after stitches. What can I do? (Photo)

back in the sixth grade, I had to get stitches for my lip after an injury. I was told that my stitches would dissolve, and they did. but I've had this same bump on the bottom of my lip for years and it makes me really insecure because my lips look uneven when I talk or smile. it's painless, but I would like to get it removed as it plays a huge role in my insecurity. I graduated high school about a year ago and the bump has been the same ever since. what do i do?
