Velashape burn on neck - Would laser help minimize its appearance?

I was burn by a clinic who used velashape on my neck. It’s been a month since and I don’t know how to treat the burn mark. It’s closed now, but it’s a red lump and I can see small veins on the surface. Would laser treatment help or make things worse? I would appreciate any advice on how to treat it.

From the photo, the lump appears to be a developing hypertrophic scar. If so, intralesional injection of the anti-inflammatory agent, triamcinolone in an appropriate concentration and amount can be used to flatten and shrink the scar. I am no fan of the relatively expensive, faddish, "bells and whistles" energy-based devices, such as RF and fraxel lasers, as the hard the science to support their routine use lags woefully behind the heavy marketing and advertising to promote them. So, needless to say, I would not recommend laser treatment, especially when the intralesional injection approach has stood the efficacy and relative safety test following decades of use. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist and be wary of being hawked more so-called energy-based device treatments. Best of luck.
