I have some crowding on my bottom row of teeth. Does it look severe enough that I will have to have orthodontist fix it first before I get veneers? I also have a 100% overbite. will that have an effect on getting porcelain veneers? pictures attached.

I would suggest posting a few picture of your teeth, so that you could have more specific feedback. You may be fine with going straight to veneers, even with a few crooked teeth, or you may need braces. The cost of veneers will vary by region and experience level of dentist....
Yours is not a simple case. You have very short teeth and as you stated, prominent gums. It is possible to do simple gum surgery to move your gums up then a more pleasing tooth size can be used. A good cosmetic dentist should have at least discussed this with you. If they...
