my top veneers are so long it covers my bottom teeth? I feel that they look a little bulky. Is that normal since I had a lot of spaces before. What should I tell the dentist please help! It's been a couple days and I just don't smile. I do not know what is wrong any recommendation would be very helpful. Thank you
Answer: How To Correct Long, Bulky Veneers I am quite certain that there is room for improvement with your veneers and it should take 20-30 minutes to complete. I feel that they could be shortened and rounded on the edges to give them more of an individual look. I do not like to see them all look the same length and this could be corrected fairly easy. It is unlikely that they will be able to do much with the thickness without changing the way these veneers reflect light and may remove some of the translucency. Have the dentist shorten them and round them off and see what you think at that point. Good luck.

Answer: Bulky Veneers ... #DrSoftTouch #RealSelf100 Hello there,Your veneers due look a bit bulky to me, but your veneers probably feel more bulky to you than they actually look to other people. The only way to fix them would be to remove them and have them redone. I would recommend taking a couple of weeks to see if you like them or still hate them. Bulky veneers is a common problem for many dentists, but this can easily be prevented by taking a slight bit more tooth structure. Many dentists are very conservative when placing veneers, which doesn't always yield the best cosmetics and functionality. Good luck and I hope this helps. Answer: Veneers that are too long and bulky Judging by your photos, your veneers do appear a bit bulky and slightly too long. The length can be adjusted and that would be left up to the dentist who did them for you.I find that there usually is room for re-contouring after I place veneers and occasionI elect to do so after they are bonded in place. As a rule of thumb the edges of your veneers should not encroach on your lower lip as what seems to show in yourphotos. The only way to adjust for the extra bulkiness is to bring in the front of the veneer but this is risky since it can introduce micro cracks and also changethe color. In addition to this the high finished glaze will be removed which gives themtheir high gloss look. I would start with some minor adjustments and see if thatsatisfies your concern. If that does not seem to help then I would consider replacing them. A question I would ask you is how did your teeth look when youwere wearing temporaries? Did you find those to be bulky? The temporaries should bea guide to how the final veneers will end up looking.

Answer: Veneers veneers are 1mm thick material so no alterations are possible, if u r not happy with final results, tell yr dentist to replace those. if u feel its long in that scenario, little more incisal preparation is required.
