Can I fix one crooked tooth with veneers or other "quick" methods? I have very crooked front teeth & don't want braces.

Believe it or not, I've had braces. I had them as a teen and never really achieved straight teeth. Now, I look around and see everyone else with perfect smiles. I'm so self conscious of my very crooked, yellow front tooth especially. I'm getting married this year and hate smiling for photos. I feel my teeth are holding me back. I don't know if I can go through the trauma of having braces as an adult and not being happy when they come off. But if it's the best option for me, I'd like to know.

Hello there,First of all, congrats on your upcoming wedding.  You could veneer the one front tooth, but I would not recommend doing so.  This is because I do not think that it would enhance your smile.  I would actually recommend 6 veneers across the top front because your gaps would be closed, the alignment would appear perfect and the shade would look great.  Your remaining top teeth on the side and in the back look great, so veneers would really do a lot for you.  They could be done in 1-2 appointments and you will have them for decades. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! With respect to the issues you've listed and your desire for a gorgeous smile, veneers seem like the best treatment option for you. Veneers will help to whiten your teeth and to make sure that they are in the perfect alignment you want. They will also be a very quick fix, requiring usual only 2-3 treatment visits as opposed to braces (orthodontia) which is a much longer treatment timeframe. As previously advised, you will likely need to involve more than one tooth, more like the front 6-10 teeth to get a great result. The number of teeth involved differ from patient to patient depending on the color changes the patient desires, their unique tooth angulations, and how broad they smile. One thing to consider though, while veneers will whiten your teeth and quickly get them looking amazing for your wedding pictures, the procedure involves shaving down your teeth which is permanent. Braces/Invisalign may require slight tooth reshaping but nothing as dramatic as veneers. Just something to consider. I would recommend a consultation with a well-trained cosmetic dentist (inquire about a diagnostic wax-up) and an orthodontist, and go from there. Sometimes you can combine both specialties to get the most conservative, long lasting result. Good luck!

as an orthodontist , it my advice to go for braces again, as i can see rightt side central and left side lateral are proclined and leftt side central is retroclined so good amount of teeth reduction is required. also right side view showing, u don't have proper occlusion in posteriors so more chances of breakage of veneers just because of undesired forces. go for snap on smile . it is temporary solution and after wedding u can start braces treatment. this time choose right orthodontist.....
