Upper abdomen liposuction for fat pockets under breast. (photos)

Question

I am going in for a small breast reduction/lift in April. After being heavy and then loosing weight, I have developed these little pockets. I have no concerns of loose skin anywhere else so I am not looking to get any form of tummy tuck. Is this something that can be fixed with liposuction during my breast surgery? I even had them when I was 8 weeks out from my figure competition and fairly lean.

Thank you for your pictures and questions. Your body transformation in the pictures is impressive. Based on the very lean pictures, these areas appear small and may respond well to liposuction. In some of the other pictures, there seems to also be excess skin in the area. Without an exam it can be hard to give specific advice. One consideration might be that if you are going to have a breast lift that includes an incision in the inferior breast fold, skin could be resected from below the fold, akin to a small reverse tummy tuck, to remove that skin and fat and tighten that area up. Just a thought and something to discuss with your chosen board certified plastic surgeon.Best of luck!

Thank you for your question. Examination in person is the only way to determine whether you'd benefit from liposuction. It doesn't appear that you have much fat, however. Speak with your surgeon about your concerns. Combining liposuction with a breast lift/reduction is common.

Based on your pictures, you look like you would be a candidate for liposuction which could be combined with your breast reduction/lift procedure. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned and athletic looking result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer

These fat pockets are very smalll and would respond well to Kybella.  Liposuction would also be a reasonable option if you are already going in for a procedure.

It would take an exam to know for sure, but if these areas are localized fat excess, then your surgeon could easily liposuction a small volume while you're under anesthesia for the breast lift. Another option would be Coolsculpting as a separate treatment, if your surgeon offers this service, following completion of healing. Congratulations on your body transformation.

Yes I would do either Vaser lipo or laser-assisted liposuction to that area, which can help to tighten the skin as well as reducing any fat in that area

Your photos suggest that there is a combination of loose skin and a small amount of fat that can be liposuctioned.  It should be safe to combine lipo of your upper stomach with your breast reduction/uplift.  Best wishes,
