How do I begin to find a good liposuction doctor in my area? Not sure what to trust anymore?

A while ago, CNN did a report on how to choose a surgeon for a successful experience.  Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons.I've attached a link for you to read.

Hello and thank you for your question.   I am sorry to hear about your experience with coolsculpting.  There are ways to fix this including liposuction.  The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are
comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified
board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

You can start by visiting the American Board of Plastic Surgery website, and finding a board certified plastic surgeon.  I have found that patients like you who have increased fat after Coolsculpt do well with SmartLipo laser liposuction.

You are not alone in your concern about finding an appropriate plastic surgeon to do your liposuctioning.Here are some guidelines:1. Make sure your surgeon is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery-this is the only certifying agency for plastic surgery recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.2. Make sure the Dr has experience in your procedure and can illustrate that experience with pictures, reviews and patient feedback.3.Make sure that the Dr has privileges to perform that specific procedure in a hospital. Even if he/she does the procedure in a surgery center or in the office they need to have privileges for that same procedure in a hospital. This is another independent check that the Dr is legit.4. Ask the people who did the CoolSculpting whop the recommend. It the person they recommend does not fulfill the above criteria then they are suspect.5. Ask around, your family Dr., your friends, etc.6. You don't have to go with the first person you consult with. If you have the time and money I always try to get three opinions.
