Great question! There is no need to wait after having this procedure to have a baby if you happen to get pregnant. However, your results can change after pregnancy due to the weight gain and subsequent weight loss - specifically with weight gain comes stretching of the skin and often times the skin does not retract back to its original state resulting in saggy tissue. Therefore if you do plan on being pregnant in the near future, it maybe wise to finish the pregnancy first then have the procedure done. But if you happen to become pregnant after the procedure there is no problem health-wise.Best of luck and hope this information helps!- Dr. Roger Tsai @DrRogerTsai
Getting pregnant after a BBL should not be a severe problem, however your results may be affected by the pregnancy. I discuss with your plastic surgeon about any concerns you may have. Congrats!Kamran Azad MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dear kimkelsee77,pregnancy after BBL should not be a severe problem. There is a chance that it will affect your BBL results. But every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Generally it is not a risk for the pregnancy if you are pregnant right after the BBL, but you might compromise the result of the BBL and the liposuction that was just done. I usually recommend that my patients, if possible, to wait about a year until everything has healed especially the scars, and that the “fat take” from the BBL has been maximized and now is stable to go through a pregnancy.
Getting pregnant shorty after having a BBL should not be a problem. In patients who have undergone a tummy tuck pregnancy is more of an issue because the muscles which were tightened during surgery and the overlying skin get stretched out again. Best,~Dr. Sieber
In most cases, one should wait until one is reasonably healed after a BBL before having a baby. If you have become pregnant while still taking post op medications, let both your surgeon and gynecologist know. They should be able to advise you as to whether there would be any risks associated with your pregnancy. Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.

Hello nknk55, I appreciate your questions! Traveling after getting a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) increases the risks of complications. Therefore, I typically suggest my patients to avoid travelling at least the first 8 weeks after surgery. In the case BBL patients can’t elude getting in a pl...
Hello Dear! Thank you for your question and provided information. I would say your are too early in the healing process and that can take a couple of months or more, depending on the patient. I suggest you contact your PS if you have any concerns. Good luck :)
