Can Vanquish be used on loose thin skin due to age related collagen loss after explant?

I'm 129 lbs. 5'5" tall.. Firm arms with a flap. When arms are to my side the wrinkling is obvious. Also above belly button. After my Explant I expect more wrinkled skin. No revision or lift, not an option I would consider. I'm 70 follow healthy lifestyle and good nutrition. Thank you.

Non-surgical treatments will only give mild improvement compared to surgical lifting. With non-surgical treatments, skin tightening can be done with a combination of vanquish, venus legacy, exilis, celllutone/Zwave. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as an arm lift, depending on skin laxity. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result.  I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Hi.  Although Vanquish is an excellent treatment for fat reduction and skin tightening in the mid section, arms or thighs, I am not sure it will be as effective if there is not much fat to remove in the areas.  You can supplement with other noninvasive treatments such as Exilis Ultra, Skin Tyte, Thermage.  Thermitight or ThermiRF is also a great option if a minimally invasive procedure is o.k. for you. Thank you for your question. Vanquish Me is an radio-frequency (RF) medical device approved for the destruction of fat cells. Since there is heat generation beneath the skin, modest skin tightening can be seen as well. I would not expect Vanquish Me to be a good choice for the conditions you are describing. Some minimally invasive alternatives would include BodyTite by InMode, J-Plasma by Bovie and ThermiTight. Each of these will provide a more pronounced tightening of the skin and collagen formation. If you want to stay with a non-invasive route there are a number of RF devices which are used on the surface of the skin to promote new collagen formation including Venus Legacy and Excilis. Keep in mind, as we age our collagen production drops year by year so it is important to have an in-person consultation to see if your expectations can be met.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
