Hello! My name is Jessica, I am a physician assistant, and one of the providers at Aesthetic Skin in Winnetka and Chicago. This is a great question. It's generally advisable to wait at least 1 to 2 weeks after receiving lip filler before waxing your upper lip. This waiting period allows the filler to settle and reduces the risk of irritation or complications in the treated area. Waxing too soon after filler injections can potentially disturb the filler, cause increased swelling or bruising, and affect the overall result. I hope this helps and best of luck!
It’s best to wait at least 1–2 weeks after having lip filler before waxing your upper lip. Waxing too soon can cause unnecessary pressure, tugging, and heat exposure in the treated area, which may increase swelling, bruising, or filler displacement. Allowing this recovery period helps the filler settle properly and reduces the risk of irritation or infection in the delicate skin above the lips.
Dear lauren887,Lip fillers are injected in the red lip body. Waxing the upper lip should be safe to perform even soon after your lip filler. It will be more relevant when the procedure performed is lip flip using neuromodulators when botulinum toxin is injected on the area above the upper red lip. In this case, I often advise patient to refrain from any pressure on the treated area for at least 48-72 hours.Sincerely yours, drkenbrito
It's best to wait for two weeks after you lip filler treatment before having your upper lip waxed. This will give the filler a chance to settle and swelling to resolve. After that time it should be fine to proceed.
I don’t think there’s a yes or no answer to your question.I’d probably give it a week.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD

Hi Some people's anatomy makes it difficult to get certain aesthetic treatments done as it just accentuates our natural imperfections. You have a naturally full lip, so maybe in order to prevent the shadowing, i would recommend starting with small amounts of product (1/2 syringe vs full) and...
Your second picture looks different than the first one. In the second picture, it looks like you have a hypopigmented scar. It’s difficult to make a good assessment based on pictures. I suggest you rely on in person consultations. Sometimes keeping things as small procedures at the cost of not h...
