Why does lip filler create a wrinkles that were not there or not visible before the filler?
Answer: Wrinkles By adding volume to one area, in this case the lips, it may highlight areas adjacent to the treated area that have poor tone. You may want to consider adding fillers to that area to give underlying support. Another option is Morpheus8 which is a treatment that improves overall skin tone and texture.

Answer: Lip Filler Hello! My name is Jessica, I am a physician assistant, and one of the providers at Aesthetic Skin in Winnetka and Chicago. This is a great question. Lip filler can sometimes cause wrinkles or accentuate lines that weren’t as noticeable before the treatment. This can happen for a few reasons: Volume Increase: Adding volume with fillers can shift the surrounding skin, potentially highlighting pre-existing lines or creating new ones if the skin isn't as elastic or smooth as expected. Product Migration: Sometimes, the filler can migrate from the targeted area, settling in places where it’s not desired, which might create or emphasize wrinkles. Overfilled Lips: If too much filler is used, it can stretch the skin beyond its natural capacity, leading to a less smooth appearance and accentuating lines around the lips. Skin Elasticity: The skin around the lips is delicate and has less elasticity. When filler is injected, the increased volume can sometimes cause the skin to stretch unevenly, making fine lines more noticeable. Technique: The technique used by the injector plays a significant role. Inexperienced or unskilled providers might place the filler unevenly, which can affect the smoothness and appearance of the lips. Natural Aging Process: As you age, the skin loses collagen and elasticity. Even if the filler helps to plump the lips, the aging process may still affect how the skin looks around the lips. If you’re concerned about new wrinkles or changes after getting lip fillers, consider discussing these issues with your injector. I hope this helps and best of luck!

Answer: Why Do Lip Fillers Create Wrinkles That Were Not There or Not Visible Before? Lip fillers are designed to add volume and shape to the lips, but in some cases, they can also influence the surrounding skin. Here are a few reasons why you might notice new or more prominent wrinkles after getting lip fillers: Swelling and Settling: Initially, swelling from the filler injection can cause the skin around the lips to stretch and create temporary wrinkles. These usually diminish as the swelling subsides and the filler settles into place. Skin Elasticity: The introduction of filler can sometimes highlight areas where the skin’s elasticity is compromised or where there were pre-existing fine lines that were less noticeable before the added volume. Filler Placement: Incorrect placement or uneven distribution of filler can lead to the appearance of new lines. This is why it’s crucial to have fillers administered by a skilled and experienced professional. Natural Aging Process: The process of receiving fillers can sometimes make patients more aware of their facial features. What might seem like new wrinkles could actually be a result of increased scrutiny of the area. If you have concerns about the appearance of new wrinkles after receiving lip fillers, it’s best to consult with your dermatologist or the professional who performed the procedure. They can provide specific insights and potential solutions tailored to your situation.

Answer: Lip fillers typically do not make nasolabial folds prominent Too much cheek fillers are notoriously known to cause the nasolabial folds to look deeper. Your lip fillers are done symmetrically and they don't appear to be the problem in your case. Not sure if it's the photo angle but there seems to be a left-right asymmetry which could be due to either botox/ thread lifts done. Correction for your current situation would be to lift the saggy/ ptotic tissues on the left side of the face.
