I recently completed 34 trays of Invisalign treatment. My orthodontist is satisfied with the result of my lower teeth, however he feels that the bite of my upper teeth has not moved sufficiently. He has advised me to go backwards in my tray (i.e. 2 weeks of 33, 2 weeks 32 etc) and now has me changing trays once a week. Is this standard practice? Will it reverse the movement of my teeth thus far?

If the aligners are not fitting from the very beginning, it is likely either due to distortion during the initial record or a distortion during the manufacturing process. Invisalign does provide a warranty fit and your doctor can request remake of the first 2-3 aligners to see if the same...
Yes, you should be wearing your Invisalign aligners at least 22 hours a day. Night time is the most effective time to wear them as a majority of movement happens when we are asleep and our body is "regenerating".
