I rapidly lost 80 pounds at 17 & loss definition in my breasts. They are basically water jugs now with no muscle/form. My boobs are saggy but my biggest issue is how bad they look when I bend over or lay down (they basically dangle). I am against getting breast implants because of how I fear my body will react overtime & hypochondria. Would a breast lift alone help me achieve my goals? & would a fat transfer sustain?
Answer: Breast lift From your photos it appears you are a good candidate for a breast lift. This would remove excess skin and lift the position of the nipple. It appears that you have adequate breast tissue to reshape the breast and would not need an implant unless more volume was desired. The next step is to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Breast lift Dear stellanovella, my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Can I achieve my goals with just a breast lift? Hello @stellanovella, thank you for your question. It is convenient to perform a breast reconstruction and a breast lift to give a very good shape to the breast with your own tissue due to the ptosis you have after the loss of glandular tissue and mass when you lost weight. For more information and recommendations, it is best to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Surgical options After looking at your photos I think you would need a lift in order to reposition your breasts and obtain the results you desire. I am not sure a fat transfer would be enough in your case. You may want to explore a fat transfer with the lift or even a saline implant with a lift seeing as you are concerned with the safety of implants.

Answer: Candidacy for breast lift Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, I note that the breasts are relatively symmetric, there appears to be moderate breast volume, the distance from the top of the breast bone to the nipples is increased, the distance from the nipples to the fold beneath the breasts is increased, the nipples reside below the fold at the bottom of the breasts, and you demonstrate significant sag. A full pattern breast lift will elevate the nipple areolar complexes into anatomic position, will eliminate the excess stretched out skin, and will conify the shape of the breasts. You appear to be a candidate for the procedure.Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion.Best wishes...
