I just had a salicylic acid ( medium depth) chemical peel at a spa. The lady put me on dermalogica ultra calming kit for 2 weeks. I had the peel today and 4 hrs later it still burns. Is it normal? She also gave me sunscreen, hydrocortisone for potential itching and 1% retinol to be applied at night. I've read that retinol should be avoided after a peel. What is the proper aftercare for a chemical peel?
