I need to work and live my life ...
Answer: Experience with Venaseal My clinic was the first to start regularly using Venaseal in Arkansas (and in the U.S.) last year. We witnessed first hand how it has been an amazing option for vein treatment for our patients. Coverage from Insurance Providers was a big hurdle in the beginning, but now most that we deal with have stopped labeling it as experimental after seeing the results our patients have had. I do hundreds of vein treatments in one month, and increasingly have seen patients choose Venaseal. There is no downtime, and no compression hose requirements pre-treatment. Since Venaseal hasn't been around long, there aren't case studies available for 10 years post treatment. I do know from attending the International Vein Congress meetings annually that the experts in the vein field are closely monitoring results, and so far they are all positive. Best of luck!

Answer: 5-10 years from today Venous insufficiency is a progressive disease and will cause your symptoms and appearance worse over time. The rate of progression is unpredictable bur certainly worse when you need to stand for long time. You can certainly wear medical grade compression stockings to relieve symptoms somewhat.

Answer: Venaseal and long term There is not great long term data on venaseal. There is very good long term data on endogenous laser and RF ablation of veins. If you are concerned about long term data look at these options as treatment choices for venous insufficiency

Answer: No one knows With regards to VenaSeal, we do not have enough experience in enough different patients to give you an informed opinion about what you should expect in 5-10 years. Though it is safe and effective as judged by the FDA, the experience in the hands of general practicing physicians is still quite limited as is aged data in patients. If you are concerned about long term results (as you well should be), talk to your doctor - preferably one who does several hundred vein treatments a year - about what he or she would do for themselves and what works best *in their hands*.

Answer: Venaseal closure system Venaseal closure system is an innovative treatment option that uses an adhesive to treat the superficial vein that presents venous insufficiency. One of the advantage of Venaseal in comparison with thermal energy treatments for venous reflux is that no compression stocking use is necessary after the procedure. Insurance coverage varies with different procedures and in the case of Venaseal always check with insurance provider and also your vein specialist beforehand to see your options. I recommend for you an evaluation with a board certified vein specialist. This way you can also discuss all your concerns and options. All the best,
