Halo laser - is it safe for breast lift scars?

Hi there, is it safe to have halo laser done on breast lift scars? I’m considering halo laser for my décolletage and would like to treat my breast lift scars. Is this treatment safe on breasts? Is there a cancer risk?

Great question! I have personally treated breast lift scars with a combination of Halo alone and also combined it with BBL alone or BBL/ClearSilk and Halo in one session with really nice improvement.

As far as safety, Halo alone is a treatment with two different lasers (2940 and 1470). The 2940 ablative one penetrates shallowly and even at its most intensive setting is too shallow to penetrate breast skin, let alone a scar which is typically much thicker than breast skin. 1470 can penetrate deeper, but is rarely used at it's deepest settings for skin improvement - I only use the deepest settings on thick acne scars or keloids. At the typical moderate settings used for skin improvement, Halo's 1470 again does not penetrate typical breast skin, let alone a scar.

Each scar is unique, as is your skin thickness. Discuss your concerns with your treating doctor who should be able to tailor a treatment to your scar which is safe and effective
