Low nostril - Is there a way that the right nostril can be lifted / cut to match the left one? (Photos)

Question

Hello I had a rhinoplasty done 7 years ago which I am happy with. The only thing I don’t like is how low my nostril is, but it was like this before my op too. Is there a way that the right nostril can be lifted / cut to match the left one? I don’t want filler in the left one as I feel it looks too droopy and low and I’m happy with that side. I am willing to travel too but would prefer something under local anaesthetic. Thank you!

You were born with noticeable assymmetry between nostrils, alar rims and alae, probably like most individuals, just slightly more noticeable.

Additionally, I can perceive very poor, if any, alar rim support that is aggravating this asymmetry.

I recommend full revision of the tripod columella-alae plus tip reworking.

Based on your photos, we can see that you're right nostril margin is a few millimeters higher than your left. If this asymmetry is something that's bothering you, microdroplet Silikon-1000 nasal injections maybe considered for lowering the high side several millimeters, so it should be at the same height as the left, for a less distracting nasal tip appearance. Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, this nostril asymmetry can be improved with a revision. Maneuvers for your surgery would include placement of an extended alar contour graft, tensioning of the tip, among other maneuvers. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

The alar soft tissue area and alar margin can be lifted. A small amount of cartilage is removed from that area and as it heals it pulls up the alar margin. However you have to very careful. It is a slippery slope. You can pull it up too much and then have to fix the other nostril. Quit while you are ahead.
You have a pretty good nose.
