What causes nose size fluctuation three years post op?

Hi. It's been almost three years since my first nose job. I have thick oily skin. A cartilage graft was used in the Ala and the columella during the operation (TIG technique), and the method was Open, and the hump was removed. With this in mind, the problem of nose size fluctuation remains unresolved. The nose gets bigger during heat, stress, laugh, and of course, exercise, and on the other side, I noticed it gets smallest when I feel good. sometimes really ugly, sometimes just normal. This problem, besides morning puffiness, makes me frustrated. What can be the root of the problem? Thank you

Hello and thank you for your question. The final results take several years for the swelling to fully resolve. This can require lots of patience and waiting. Steroid injections performed by your surgeon can be extremely helpful. I usually start steroid injections around 1 to 2 months after surgery and continue as needed. With that being said, the final outcome will really depend on the surgical techniques that your surgeon used during your surgery. I recommend that you maintain close follow up with your surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
