Is It Possible to Surgically Narrow the Pyriform Aperture Rim After Maxillary Skeletal Expansion (MSE)? (Photos)

Trustworthy879113
I underwent Maxillary Skeletal Expansion (MSE), which uses mini-screw–anchored expanders to split and skeletally widen the maxilla. As a result, my pyriform aperture rim has widened by about 5.2 mm. Is it surgically feasible to narrow the actual bony pyriform aperture back toward its original width (not just camouflage it with soft-tissue or alar base procedures)? If so, how much narrowing per side is typically achievable and stable?
