What gauge cannula do doctors use to inject MICROFAT into the face?

I hear that the gauge of the needle matters a lot because if it’s too small it will crush the fat cells into nanofat (i want microfat). What gauge cannula is typically used safely for injecting microfat into the face?

Dear Optimistic, No cannula will crush the fat into nano fat. To get nanofat, the fat has to be passed between two syringes through a transfer device, multiple times. That will crush the fat. Or it can be processed specifically to obtain nanofat without cells and only adipose stromal matrix, in a Lipocube. Lipocube passes the fat through mesh screens in sequence to arrive at nanofat with a high number of adipose derived stem cells. Harvesting the fat through the standard harvesting cannulas available obtains macro fat, which is widely used. Injection can be done with 0.9 mm cannulas for the cheeks, and for micro fat, obtained by one pass through the Lipocube, a 0.7 mm cannula can be used for the tissue closer to the eyelid.

I select my cannulas based on the actual needs, location and volume being important. We frequently use different size cannulas in the same setting. Usually these cannulas are in the range from .7 to 1 mm. For nano grafts I use sharp needles.
