It depends on what was done for the non surgical nosejob. Some filling agents are able to be dissolved, and a rhinoplasty can be done shortly after the product is dissolved. These include those products that contain Hyaluronic Acid. Other agents require your body to fully metabolize the product before you are back to baseline which can take a year or longer. The important thing is to have zero residual product in the nose, so that rhinoplasty can be performed most precisely for best outcomes. Thanks for the question and best regards.
Dear Yulia121, thanks very much for your post. This is an excellent question, and I would agree that truthfully, there's not a 100% clear answer on this. In general, I recommend that patients wait at least 1-2 years after HA filler to the nose. Hyaluronidase is an option, but I worry about the reliability of dissolving all the filler away. So I prefer to wait as long as possible to provide ample time for the filler to dissolve away. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the question. I recommend you to send your photos to us to give you the advices you need and want. Kind regards
You want to make sure any fillers in your nose are gone before having rhinoplasty to ensure your surgeon isn't operating on a "moving target." If you have filler there, once it is gone your nose will look different. So, either wait until the filler is gone (typically 1-2 years) or have your surgeon melt it with hyaluronidase before surgery. Best of luck!
Thank you for you question. It is okay to have the Rhinoplasty anytime after the non surgical nose job. The surgeon will be able to pick out any fillers if needed. If the fillers were Hyaluronic Acid you can get them dissolved. Best of luck!Dhaval M. Patel Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Hoffman Estates Barrington Oakbrook Chicago
You can have a surgical rhinoplasty any time following a non-surgical nose job. Generally they are hyaluronic acid fillers which are injected between the skin and the nasal cartilage/bone. They are easily removed at the time of surgery. Alternatively they can be dissolved with Vitrase or hyaluronidase (an enzyme which dissolves these fillers) prior to surgery. I have done both for patients and have not found it makes a difference which way you proceed.
The answer to this depends on your examination, the amount of filler that was placed, the location of the filler, and the type of filler. the correct location for placement of dermal fillers is in the soft tissue between your skin and nasal framework. Rhinoplasty surgery is typically performed in a surgical plane deep to where your filler was placed, so the surgery itself may be feasible. If you have a temporary filler in your nose, you may benefit from waiting for it to absorb so your surgeon may see what you're starting with. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph
This is a good question that is not uncommon these days. To answer it, I'd have to know exactly what type of filler was placed in your nose. Silicone, for example, is permanent and cannot be removed reliably. Other fillers such as Radiesse are not permanent, but cannot be reversed. As a result, you should wait until they have dissolved completely prior to proceeding with a surgical rhinoplasty. Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Belotero can be dissolved with an injection. In that case, you can either wait till they dissolve completely on their own or you can have them dissolved with an injection and then wait several weeks prior to proceeding with surgery. Best wishes.
Hopefully, it was a hyaluronic acid that was injected into your nose, as in six months post injection it will have dissipated. At your consultation, bring photos of your pre-injected nose, to give your surgeon an opportunity to see what you "started" with. I would most likely wait 6-12 months for surgery.
Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you canreceive is from an in-person consultation. I would recommend dissolving the filler with hyaluronidase and then you can proceed forward with surgery. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of realpatients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just acomputer animation system. The most important aspect is tofind a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultationwith a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you inperson.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Great questions! To reconstruct the septum we use irradiated cartilage. This is cadaver cartilage that has been treated with radiation so all the DNA and living cell that cause rejection are killed off before it is placed into your body. Because no system is perfect, there is a...
Thanks for your question. Sorry about your cold. Unfortunately this can happen, but this shouldn't affect your long-term result in any way. Keep using your nasal saline to help keep the inside of your nose healthy. But coughing shouldn't affect things at all. Good luck.
