Thank you for your question. To provide a valid medical opinion I will need to see pictures of you body from different angles. I would suggest to be treated by board certified plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure, to get the best desired results.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
That depends on whether or not the fat that you have is in front of your abdominal muscles or behind your abdominal muscles. If it is front, then maybe. If it is behind then no you are not. See a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area for an evaluation and examination to be certain. Getting more than one opinion can help too.
It really depends on the kind of beer gut you have! A lot of fat....Lipo might help..But a lot of liver!....not so much...As stated, a consult with a qualified Plastic Surgeon in your area will help you determine that.....
Thanks for your question. Without a picture it is hard to know the right answer to this question. If on exam your fat is intraabdominal below the muscle then liposuction would be a poor choice for you. A board certified plastic surgeon could ascertain that for you. Good luck
It depends on what you mean by a beer belly. If you have a protuberant abdomen with minimal fat between your skin and the underlying muscle you meet the usual definition of a beer belly and are not a good candidate for liposuction, because liposuction can only access subcutaneous fat - not the "visceral" fat inside your abdominal cavity. This internal fat can only be reduced by weight loss.
Thank you for the question. If your “beer gut” consists of adipose tissue below the muscle lay your of your abdomen is not accessible to liposuction cannulas. If the adipose tissue is located in the subcutaneous layer below the skin then it is possible that liposuction will help. Ideally, the overlying skin elasticity will allow for the skin to bounce back after the procedure. We generally lose some skin elasticity as we age above the age of 40. I would suggest in person consultation with a well experienced board-certified plastic surgeon. Best wishes.
As expressed by other respondents, the bottom line for you is whether or not your fat is just deep to the skin which is treatable by liposuction or whether it is situated internally within your abdominal cavity which is not treatable by liposuction. The way to reduce intra-abdominal fat is by weight loss. You need to be evaluated by a board certified plastic surgeon who can provide you with an appropriate answer and recommendations.
As previously stared by the other expert posters, best to see if your condition is subcutaneous fat vs intra abdominal fat or both. Seek 3 opinions from boarded PSs in your area.
When I think of a beer belly I think of a belly with a large amount of intra-abdominal fat. In those with a large amount of intra abdominal fat, liposuction is not a great option.
Often thos men with "beer guts" do not have alot of subcutanoeus fat but have more of an intraperitonea( deep to the muscle) component which is not amenable to liposuction.
It sounds like your garment is not the right fit for you. See your plastic surgeon to remedy this situation. Compression garments type and when applied varies from plastic surgeon to plastic surgeon and not dependent usually on the type of lipo performed. In my practice, A compression garment...
You can remove unsightly rolls of fat from behind the head and neck with tumescent liposuction. You will probably feel bruised and swollen for up to a month afterward. It's also possible to treat that area with nonsurgical fat-removal techniques such as CoolMini or an injectable like Jybella. ...
Swelling can remain up to two or four weeks. Residual swelling lasts for several months, but it's usually not very apparent. See your surgeon to discuss your results.
Head elevation and a compression garment will minimize swelling and bruising and was great advice by your plastic surgeon. It will just take longer to recover but probably not affect your final result. See the link below for more information why this was recommended..
Thanks for your question. Healing after liposuction is usually pretty straight forward. There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery. The lateer phase of healing takes pl...
Thank you for your question. While it is somewhat difficult to determine without a photograph, liposuction is likely an excellent option for you for the removal of fat from the underarm region. In some extreme cases, we recommend direct excision of the fat, along with any accompanying excess s...
