I got a chin implant procedure done 10 months ago. Although I love the side projection my chin implant is way too long and makes my face look crooked. I came to the conclusion that it’s way too big after seeing pictures of myself. The doctor said he placed a 4mm chin implant in but clearly it makes my face look masculine and uneven. What should be my next course of action? Take it out? Replace it? Jaw implant or surgery instead? I've attached pictures for your viewing.

It seems like you could benefit from more chin projection. The dynamic photos when smiling don't appear normal but I don't know your appearance before the surgery. In any case, I would recommend a CT of the chin to determine the position of the implant. Depending on the results, you may want to...
It is not clear what was the basis for these implant designs. Are they based on computer imaging of your facial goals or just a design that looks good on your lower jaw 3D scan?
There are a variety of materials that can be used to full in the jawline stepoff to which you refer. You would only use a chin implant to do so IF you also wanted some additional chin projection put back.
