My chest and shoulders are very broad. I got high profile 465cc implants and a lift In 2012 and then had two kids so the skin is a little droopy. I want more cleavage on top as well as for my breast to be a bit closer. My surgeon recommended making my pocket further in and giving me a broader and bigger implant. Thoughts? Is that freak show big or will my broad body be able to handle it?
Answer: You might be OK even though they are large implants. Great to hear from someone from Salt Lake city! I am at U of U graduate and the weather is probably great there right now! You have fairly large implants in already so going to that larger size should be possible. From your pictures you don’t really look too big however pictures without a bra or clothing would be more accurate. So based on the pictures you sent I think it could be possible to go very close to what you are thinking.… But those are big implants!

Answer: Please Reconsider Implants That Large Hello Joanne, Your clothing precludes an accurate assessment. I wonder if lifting the implants up and in would give you the cleavage you desire without going as large as 750 cc. Those are heavy and stretch out the skin and breast tissue and drop your underneath crease lower. This makes the woman look older and heavier than she is. Your lift might need to be revised if the implant is raised. I hope your revisional surgery goes well.

Answer: Implant size and type Dear joannedailami,Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Would 750cc be too big Thank you for posting your pictures and questions. First is necessary you keep in mind when we are talking about a large implants it will increase the risk of the surgery, talking about implants there is not any general rule that apply for everybody, we actually have to verify the symmetry and the space you have between your breast, i suggest to get a consultation face to face with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in that way you can discuss and show your surgeon the body proportion you desire with a bra sizer and allow your surgeon to guide you to the right implants, the large implants could bring with secondary problems of your back or a chest wall deformation, Please keep giving us feedback of your process, and I hope my answer comes to help. Always remember to look for a well trained plastic surgeon. Javier Soto, MD Member, Colombian Society of Plastic Surgeons Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon Cartagena, Colombia

Answer: Breast Lift - No Vertical Scar Dear Joannedailami,Hello and thank you for your excellent question. You should be evaluated for a No-Vertical-Scar breast lift technique. Some people refer to this as the Bellesoma Breast Lift technique. Our technique provides an exceptional breast lift, upper pole fullness, relief from neck and back pain, and no vertical breast lift scar. It uses a woman’s OWN breast tissue to produce an internal suspension technique, without the need for a breast implant. It does not disturb the nipple, areola, or breast glands, so sensation and the ability to lactate is preserved. It uses 3D scanning of your breasts and body to design a procedure specifically designed for YOU, and you alone. Finally, for patients who desire breast enlargement, it can be combined with fat grafting. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck!
