Thank you for your question. I suggest that you consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon because you are early in the healing process, and can begin exploring revision options if necessary.Best wishes,
It is just a large unhappy depressed scar under the chin. Although challenging, it can be revised. It may also benefit from some graft fat. Start with your original surgeon who should be motivated to help you with this. If they are not open or receptive, then a second opinion is an alternative option. You should wait 6 to 12 months before having this revised.
It appears that the skin under the chin has not "settled into" the neck and as a result there is poor definition. In fact the jawline also has poor definition. The underlying structures (gland, fat, muscle) need to be addressed first to sculpt a nice jawline and the skin needs to be redistributed over a larger area of the face and neck to encourage better redraping. At the same time, the earlobe can be reset to regain a better contour. I would recommend waiting a few more months to allow all swelling to resolve first. Good luck!Dr. Z
This is not a " cobra deformity" . You have some swelling and irregularity in the submental/ submandibular area ( right greater then left ) . I can also see your submandibular gland which can become more obvious after facial surgery . Has any steroid injection been tried ? I would try steroid and if it has not helped you can consider revision surgery in the next few months . ( if you are not a smoker you could do sooner then later ) . Although not an ideal result if you had a very "full" neck prior to surgery this can happen and I would discuss with your present surgeon .Thanks
Every surgeon will have a different answer to this question. If you go to another surgeon, they will charge you again and if the procedure is more difficult than the original (can be do to scarring) they will likely charge more. Your original surgeon proposed this surgery leading you to be...
The treatment you had, as well as all those noninvasive/nonsurgical treatments are temporary at best, if they provide any benefit at all. You have some minor laxity in the next, early jowls and losing the fullness in the cheeks. My recommendation is a mini-/short scar facelift w/ minimal fat...
Thank you for your question. I suggest that you consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon at the 6-week mark to review your recovery guidelines and results. There is swelling and minor bruising at the initial moments after the surgery. Best wishes,
