Would 375cc, submuscular give me a fuller breast or would it be better to do 400cc? (Photos)

The difference in appearance between 375cc and 400cc is so subtle that it would be unnoticed to most. Many factors enter into determining the optimal volume for a given individual. It is doubtful you would be able to do this on your own. Plastic surgeon go through years of training to be able to make these decisions. Use your surgeon to help guide your through the selection process. He or she is by far your best resource.

Your breast can only accomodate a certain size implant. This is much like when getting sized for a shoe; your foot needs a specific size shoe. You do not want to select an implant that is too small or too large. You should see someone who specializes in breast aesthetic surgery and truly understands breast surgery very well. Best of luck.

25 cc difference is about a 1/4 inch difference so not visible. I like to focus on the breast width and the profile to achieve what your goals are. Show picture of what you prefer to the doctor. Moderate vs full profile is a big bifference in final shape. The taller you are the bigger you can go in most cases. Over 400cc in someone under 5' 2" can look big Good luck!

Schedule an appointment with your surgeon to try on different size implants. Bring a couple of tight fitting shirts with you. In my experience, most patients are happier when they go a little larger. Best wishes!

I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. I ask my patients to look at RealSelf before and after photos to find women with similar frame size and pre-augmentation breast size/shape whose result photos are closest their goals. Take a screen shot of the before and after photos you like for 5-10 patients and bring those to your consultation or pre-operative appointment to review with your surgeon.
For me, I use your goal photos, try-on test implants, and Vectra 3D images, to select 8 different implant sizes in two different implant profiles. During surgery, the goal photos are uploaded on a high resolution screen with your personal pre-op photos. I use sizers to test out which implants will most closely achieve the results demonstrated by your goal photos.
All that to say, it is not possible to know for sure which implant is best for you (375 vs 400) before surgery. In fact, its possible the perfect implant for your body and goals is be something different all together. Choose a surgeon who will take the time to understand exactly what you want. Look at lots of photos together. And make sure he or she has a range of implants ordered and available in the operating room with the correspond implant sizers to ensure the highest probability of getting implant selection right the first time!

The difference between 375cc and 400cc is less than a shot glass. I would suggest that instead of focusing on a specific implant volume in ccs you focus on the look that you want. This can be done through a variety of ways including looking at medical before/after photographs. After all it's the appearance and not the number that's important. A board certified plastic surgeon experienced in breast augmentation can help you with this. Good luck!

I believe you will be happy with either implant. You have narrowed it down to a very narrow range of sizes which is the most important step.

The difference between 375 cc and 400 cc is just over 2 tablespoons. If you apply this to more everyday things that we do, you can see that it is not much difference - for example if you drank a glass of water or coffee and had 2-3 tablespoons more or less it is not significant. Same with breast implants. It's too small of a difference to make the implants look too small or feel too heavy.

I advise my patients who, like you, are are starting to feel lost between two sizes, to consider whether they would like to wake up a bit larger or a bit smaller. If you'd be happy with the 375, go with that, if you are truly concerned about being too small, go for the 400.

You are going through typical anxiety for patient having breast augmentation. Have in mind that 25ml. difference between implants is not noticable in that volume range. I think both are too big, but would suggest 375. Pay attention to a small asymmetry in nipple position, one is lower and that breast is slightly smaller? Good luck.

Great question. It seems like you have tried on some sizers and are feeling confident about the 375cc-400cc range. You are correct - the biggest complaint after breast augmentation is regretting going too small. If you look at the specs of the actual 375cc and 400cc implants, you are only looking at a difference of .1-.2cm in projection. That being said, I may encourage you to go 400cc.
