Thank you for your question and photos. Kybella is a great option for sub-mental fat and joules in the lower face. I recommend using an HA filler for your mid-face to help with contour of the cheeks. Visit your Cosmetic injector and/or plastic surgeon for a full facial consult and treatment.Best of luck!
Both Kybella or neck liposuction are good options and will improve the double chin. It depends on your lifestyle and personality which would be better for you. Kybella is best for patients that:1) Do not want surgery 2) Are not surgical candidates 3) Not willing to wear a compression dressing around the face for 1 week 4) Patient- The results of Kybella will take monthsKybella take 1-3 treatments every 6 weeks. Patient will develop swelling and possible bruising after each injection that may last a few days. The benefit of Kybella is each treatment is quick and completed in the office. However, some patients need more than one treatment to get desired results. Neck Liposuction is best for patients that:1) Want a single treatment 2) One recovery time- Downtime for neck liposuction require wearing a wrap around face for 1 week. 3) Less painful 4) Quicker results 5) Cost is a concernNeck liposuction is a quick surgical procedure that can be complete while the patient is awake. It cost around the same price a Kybella and can be less in patients with heavier necks. The single recovery of neck liposuction may be a better option for some patients.I hope this helps.
Kybella is good for removing stubborn areas of fat. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options like Kybella. I recommend Kybella with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is a great alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. Cost will vary. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
It’s a bit difficult to see the area under your chin in this photo, and I’m not sure which “lumps” you are refrring to! Fat dissolving injections are injected into the “preplatysmal fat”, also known as “submental fat” or “double-chin fat”. It’s a very specific area, and I would recommend a review with an experienced injector who can assess you in person (as a two-dimensional photo doesn't tell the "full 3-D story" of your face), discuss your goals, and formulate a treatment plan.
A combination of Thermage to tighten the jowls around the neck and Kybella to dissolve the submental fat will help make you a beautiful neck line and give you lasting results. Large amounts of fat under the chin can be treated with Cool-mini to freeze the fat. Please consult an expert in Kybella and lasers. Best, Dr. Green
Kybella is specifically FDA cleared for fatty tissue under the chin (submental fat). I would not have it injected into your cheeks. Jawline can be tightened with a lower face lift. Cost varies, but is about $600 per vial of kybella (2cc).
Thanks for your question and posting pictures. I agree with some of the previous physicians that we could recommend Kybella. The FDA recently approved the SculpSure laser for treating submental fat (double chins). It is a quick 25 minute treatment. In the FDA study, the participants had 100% satisfaction after 1 or 2 treatments. If you look at the Kybella FDA studies, there is high satisfaction after an average of 6 treatments. I did SculpSure recently and it was only mildly uncomfortable. I had no noticeable swelling. With Kybella, you will have noticeable swelling for 1-4 weeks. Best of luck.
Kybella was designed to reduce fat under the chin, so yes it will help your double chin but will do nothing for weird lumps in your cheek. Removal of the double chin may help some with the jawline definition.
Hi ashleyhalsted, It's actually hard to tell whether you have submental fat that can be dissolved by Kybella,it would have been good to see a side view for this and a front view to be able to assess your "undefined" jawline. Sagging jowls can be remedied by a Threadlift, and in some cases by Thermage. Kybella is only recommended for submental fat and not appropriate for the "cheek lumps". It's best to see a doctor for this. In some cases, fillers placed in the area near the cheekbone would lift the cheeks and perhaps diminish the look of the lumps. All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
Good Evening,Thank you for your question.Kybella works great for fat under your chin. Doctor has to evaluate you to see how much and how many treatments you will need to be most successful. Some Doctors do inject this to help with jaw line, but more for jowls. You may benefit from fillers for better jawline definition.I would not recommend injecting Kybella anywhere in the face/cheeks, since nerve damage is possible and face has pretty complex anatomy. (Kybella id not FDA approved for injections anywhere other than submental fat-double chin). You may also get consultation about buccal fat pad removal-make sure you consult board certified cosmetic surgeon.Hope this helps.
From your photos you have a beautiful profile and no fat in that area so no need for Kybella. I would suggest Thermage and fillers to tighten and add volume to the chin. If you choose the right product you will only have to do this once a year. Best, Dr. Green
Dear jmulko91,Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable....
The swelling you see and feel is not just a pocket of fluid waiting to be massaged away. There is considerable inflammation And tenderness which likely won’t be helped along by manipulation, so best to just let the process work itself out. It won’t take very long. The inflammation will leave c...
