Hello and thank you for your question. While Botox is meant to smooth out wrinkles, fillers (such as Radiesse, Voluma or Bellafill) are what can be used for your case. Although it is not possible to physically make the nose smaller non-surgically, with fillers we can create the illusion of a more narrow bridge. When looking at the nose straight ahead, we judge its width based on the top layer. With careful and strategic placement this can create a more balanced nose from all angles. Be sure to seek an experienced injector that focuses on facial aesthetics. Best of luck!
Fillers can be used for this. A nonsurgical rhinoplasty is wonderful technique to camouflage irregularities, dents, humps, and bumps of the nose. Your nose could be improved with rhinoplasty, which would give permanent improvements in symmetry, shape and profile. You can bring photos of noses that you think would be flattering to your face and these can be discussed. When you meet with a facial plastic surgeon, he or she will consider your nose in balance with your other features and can over the cost of the procedure. I hope this helps.
Thank you for your question and photograph. Botox interacts with muscle contracture which will soften lines and creases. Unfortunately, it would not be an option to narrow the bridge of your nose. Best of luck.
I don't recommend Botox for this. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose. Surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
While Botox can be used to lift the nose tip a bit, it does not have any place in nonsurgical rhinoplasty. Typically, hyaluronic acid fillers are injected and instead of "bulking" up the nose. doctors shape it in such a way that noses appear straighter, thinner and more symmetrical. However, the procedure isn't for everyone.
While botox can help with fine lines, Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm are usually useful in certain cases to improve the nasal contours. Rhinoplasty surgery is the goal standard for permanent nasal contour improvement. Best of luck to you and be sure to trust your face to specialist.
Botox will not slim the bridge of the nose. We do a lot of non-surgical nose jobs in our clinic using dermal fillers to create the appearance of a narrower bridge. By adding volume, we create the appearance of a slimmer, more refined nose and profile. This procedure requires considerable skill, so please consult with a board certified physician with extensive experience before proceeding. All the the best to you, Dr. Zheng
Great question and thank you for providing a photo. I would recommend a nonsurgical rhinoplasty using hyaluronic fillers, specifically Juvederm Voluma. This is filler that is injected right on top of the bone and can be molded to perfection with results lasting up to 2 years. You could try getting Botox on the very tip of your nose to relax the muscle from pulling it down when smiling or other expressions to further improve the appearance of your profile.
Botox will not help with your cosmetic cosmetic. Hyaluronic acid based fillers can be injected along the dorsum of the nose to soften any bumps and to give the appearance of a slimmer nose. Surgery is certainly also an option but I will defer to the plastic surgeons to comment further on rhinoplasty.
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photograph ashleyhalsted. I understand your concern. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial expression. When injected into the skin Botox will relax the muscles and smoothen out the overlying wrinkles. The most common areas of treatment are in the upper face. These include the horizontal lines seen on the upper forehead when one raises the brows, the vertical lines seen between the brows when one frowns (frown lines), and the crow's feet seen around the eyes when one smiles. It is difficult to make an assessment without a formal exam in the office where I can view the skin in multiple angles and observe wrinkles formed with facial expression. However, I hope the information provided here is useful. While Botox will help address wrinkles associated with facial expression, it will not shape the nose. Instead fillers such as Voluma can be used for this purpose. If I had a patient who looked like the person in this photograph I would say she may be a good candidate for such a treatment.Botox and fillers are two dermal (skin-related) products are both very popular for their anti-aging features. Unlike Botox, which relaxes muscles to smoothen out wrinkles associated with facial expression, fillers restore lost volume in various areas of the face and body. Common fillers include the Juvederm family (Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Voluma, Vollure, and Volbella), the Restylane family (Restylane, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Silk, Restylane Refyne, and Restylane Defyne), Belotero, Radiesse, Sculptra, and Bellafill. With age changes occur in the bony structures as well as fat pads, both of which contribute to a youthful appearance. Over time bones move and change shape while fat pads get smaller by losing volume and move downward. Fillers restore such lost volume. Common areas of volume loss include the temples on the sides of the face, the upper cheeks, the tear trough area under the eyes, the nasolabial folds which go from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth, the marionette lines which are the continuation of the nasolabial folds to the jawline, the chin, and the jawline. Often times combining fillers with Botox treatments yields superior results. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
Thank you for your question! There is no scientific evidence whatsoever that says Botox causes cancer. It is widely used for many medical and aesthetic purposes these days. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question! You could consider having a small amount of Botox injected into the mentalis muscle. I typically inject 5 units total with two injection points close to the midline on the lower chin. The effects of Botox go away with time so the risk with low dose Botox should be ...
Thank you for your question. Botox would be used for Hyperhidrosis. Typically, there is not much downtime or post-care instructions for Botox in the underarms. Maintenance would be recommended for every 3-4 months. Best of luck!
