Answer: Hello No, you don’t need to loose weight for the surgery, and if you want D or DD, you need at least 500 cc, maybe 550

Answer: Wanting to go from A to D/DD cup size with implants Thank you for your questions. Bra cup manufacturers don't standardize their different cup sizes, so a "DD" cup does not represent the same volume for each company. This is why most plastic surgeons won't promise that a specific breast implant will yield an exact cup size. It is best to use other techniques to determine if you would be happy with certain breast implants, such as looking at before/after pics of people with a similar body type, trying on sizers, doing virtual imaging, etc. Of course, your plastic surgeon will also be an excellent source of advice. Your breast implants should "fit" your body type, and this is where detailed measurements, full physical exam and the surgeon's experience are critical.

Answer: I'm 210lb & 5'9", A to D/DD cup, will 500cc achieve this? Whether you need to lose weight before surgery is between you and your surgeon, but your BMI is not excessive, so unless you were planning to lose weight anyways I see no need. The best way to determine what size implant to choose is to try the different sized implants with a sports bra and tight t-shirt during a sizing session and see which look right for your frame. Don't worry about the letter on the cup size you are targeting as it's different with each brand anyways. If what you're looking at in the mirror when you try on sizers looks like what you think your goal cupsize looks like then you've chosen the right size implants. Your surgeon should also help guide you with this choice. Hope that helps!

Answer: Choosing the right size and profile breast implants for you I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. Answer: Implant size There are many factors that go into selecting an implant. In addition to volume you need to consider shape, style and profile. Your experienced board certified plastic surgeon is your personal expert in helping you select the implant that best helps you achieve the look you want. During a consultation measurements will be taken of your breasts and a discussion of your goals will take place. This information is needed for your surgeon to help suggest implant options to you. I've included a video on this process that I hope you find helpful.
