18 Days After Mini Tummy Tuck with Lipo.. Is This Basically my End Results? (photo)

Question

I'm curious to know if there is still noticeable swelling or if this is it? When I take off my garment it looks pretty good, if I leave it off for a small amount of time it doesn't look as good. I know my incision is still healing, but where lipo was done still looks flabby??

No this is not your final result! After a full or mini abdominoplasty, swelling and even scar tissue in the treated area is expected for months after the procedure (think 6 months or even longer). It is also normal to have fluctuating swelling dependent on your activity level, garment, etx for months. The scar itself takes at least one year to mature. So be patient!!

It can take up to 3 months or more before the results from a tummy tuck and liposuction are finalized. 18 days is very early in the healing process. It is important to continue wearing your compression as prescribed by your surgeon and try not to judge the results this early in the process.

Thank you for the question and picture. No, at 18 days postop, you are not seeing the final results of the procedure performed.Generally, it takes many months for swelling to resolve after tummy tuck surgery and it may take up to one year  (or greater) for complete skin "redraping"  to occur.

This is not your final result. Swelling can persist for several months after this procedure. I would suggest that you give it 6 months before calling it your final result. You appear to be doing just fine so trust your doctor and the process.
