Is it possible for the stretch marks above my belly button after the tightening of muscle and more skin is loose, will a little more be removed I'm 5'2 around 150 to 155lbs I'm a mother if two 13 and 1 I actually got the stretch marks with older son I'm in dallas and been researching dr.Michael Bogdan wanting other opinion before my consulation

There has to be enough skin from the breast bone down to the beginning of the stretch marks to cover the entire vertical distance down to the mons. Many women do not have enough loose skin to do this, so some stretch marks just above and lateral will not come out. They can be treated after surgery with Lux 1540 erbium laser, and that will improve but not get rid of them.     Just looking at the picture submitted, I would never anticipate that all the stretch marks would be removed as they extend quite a way above the belly button.  In this patient from the front view, you can see how high the stretch marks go.  It looks like the upper line of skin removal could be 3-4 inches above the belly button, and it is amazing how much further the upper skin will go down, when the muscle is tightened and it is almost a straight line form breast bone to pubis. In this case that would help a lot but would be insufficient to get all the stretch marks out.

You are definitely a good candidate for a tummy tuck with muscle tightening.  Many of the stretch marks will be removed with the surgery but some will,remain.  If you go on a consult, the surgeon can draw out exactly which stretch marks would be removed.

The stretch marks that you have below your belly button will be removed with a tummy tuck. But any that are above the belly button will remain. The skin will be pulled down, but the stretch marks will still be there.

So, it is hard to promise that all of the stretch marks can be removed. It really just depends on how much skin can be removed which your surgeon really won't know until you are on the table. Most of the time I can get the stretch marks out above the belly button even, but it just depends how far up the abdomen they go.

Definitely not, about 60% of your  stretch marks above your umbilicus will be positioned above your pubic mound, specifically above your scar, and bellow the new outing of your belly button. You are an excellent candidate for tummy tuck and liposuction, with potential for a great result.

Since your stretch marks are well above the belly button, you will still have some stretch marks present even after a tummy tuck.  They will tend to be lower on your abdomen and may be somewhat less noticeable than they are now, due to improved skin tension.  From your photos, I believe you still will see a significant improvement in the shape and appearance of your abdomen, even if you have some remaining stretch marks.  I think you will find the tummy tuck to be well worth the effort and expense.  Best wishes.

Thank you for your question and photograph.  A tummy tuck will remove stretch marks from the umbilicus or belly button down.  However stretch marks above the belly button usually cannot be removed with a tummy tuck.
