Looking to have a Tummy tuck. I have pcos and been dieting onlt to lose the weight in my face arms n legs. Tummy stays!!! I am not looking to lose weight from it but to get rid of the massive stomach that wont go away. It hangs low and it gets in the way of daily activities. I stand 5'6 280lbs. Please only doctors who think they can help answer. No doctors who suggests weight lost first because thats not helping.
Answer: Tummy tuck and pcos. Am I a candidate? (Photo) Yes, you are a candidate for surgery as long as you are medically stable-enough for the procedure. Medical clearance for the procedure is usually provided by your primary care physician so checking with your PCP first to see if he/she feels you are healthy enough for surgery is your starting point. In my opinion and from the photos, you would benefit the most from an extended tummy tuck that would include removal of the excess skin and fat from the hip region as well as from the tummy. A definitive recommendation would require an in-office consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for an exam and complete discussion about your particular case. Surgery should make a tremendous difference and the goal of allowing you to exercise more comfortably ranks right up there with looking so much better. Best of luck, Dr Woodyard

Answer: Candidate for Tummy Tuck Far more important than deciding if a tummy tuck is for you is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let him explain why one technique may be better than another and if you need a tummy tuck. Many board certified plastic surgeons provide a free first time consult and you should take advantage of that!See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon for you!I have also attached a video for a possible Tummy Tuck Candidate.#tummytuck#TT#findingthebestplasticsurgeon

Answer: Tummy tuck Dear Yummi, Thanks for submitting your pictures. Indeed Yummi, no weight loss will help you to achieve your goal of getting rid of your skin folds and tightening the muscles. Many of my patients also lose a significant amount of weight due to their inability to eat as much after the muscles tightening which also reduces the sense of hunger. Obviously, if you lose weight, it will enable the surgeon to tighten the muscles more without causing you complications. I always recommend to my patients the book 'sugar busters' that helps them to lose weight and it is based on low glycemic index food that reduces the secretion of Insulin and consequently reducing the hunger. Always consult with board certified plastic surgeons and check their before and after pictures to make sure that you like the results. Also, make sure that the pictures are numerous and consistent. Best of luck, Dr Widder

Answer: Tummy Tuck It appears, based on your photos, that you are a good candidate for TT . Keep in my mind-- Abdominoplasty addresses excess skin-- so once you're examined fully and evaluated by the Board Certified Plastic Surgeon-- he/she will know better how to proceed -- provided you're medically cleared for the surgery
