You can either add an implant for more volume along with the breast lift, or use your own breast tissue depending on desired size.

Patient is 5'4 and 170 pounds.  Mentor smooth round high profile saline implants placed under the muscle and filled to 360 cc's.  A breast lift was also done at that same time with incisions around the areola and down the middle of the lower breast (Lollipop lift).

When a silicone implant rupture is discovered, many patients want to address it before bigger problems develop. Our patient is a 45-year-old White female who previously had silicone breast implants placed in 2007. After an MRI revealed a small rupture in one of her implants, she sought Dr. J. Timothy Katzen immediately for a silicone implant removal and a breast lift. Her goal was to remove the implants from her breasts to reduce the risk of future complications and reshape the breasts for a more lifted and natural appearance. Under general anesthesia, Dr. Katzen removed the silicone implants and then performed a breast lift to improve the contour of the natural tissue. This combination procedure is often helpful because, after an implant removal, the skin and breast tissue may not return to an ideal position on their own. A breast lift, also known as a mastopexy, removes extra skin, tightens the breast shape, and elevates the breast mound to create a smoother, firmer result. For patients with ruptured implants, silicone implant removal with mastopexy can offer both peace of mind and a cosmetic improvement. Removing ruptured implants and lifting the tissue can improve comfort and breast contour. It allows the patient to move forward without the damaged implants while still maintaining an elegant and youthful breast shape. These photos were taken 4 months after surgery and show our patients remarkable result.

Our patient wanted her breasts to look lifted, not just larger, and she chose Dr. Timothy Katzen to help refine both shape and position in one surgery. She is a 65-year-old White female who weighed 115 lbs at the time of her procedure. Dr. Katzen recommended a breast implant with a breast lift because implants add volume, whereas a lift repositions the breast tissue and nipple to a more youthful height, improving balance in bras and swimwear. Under general anesthesia, he carefully measured and marked the breasts to plan how much skin should be removed and where the new nipple position would look most natural. After creating the lift, Dr. Katzen placed the implants to achieve upper fullness and improve projection, then reshaped the breast tissue over the implant so that the contour appears smooth rather than round and unnatural. The incisions were closed in layers to promote healing and minimize scarring, and post-operative support garments are typically used to reduce swelling and protect the new shape. These photos were taken 2.5 months after surgery, and her results are already remarkable, with improved symmetry, a more prominent profile, and a more confident silhouette that continues to refine as swelling subsides. Dr. Katzen creates a tailored implant pocket, checks symmetry with the patient upright, and controls bleeding before closure. Aftercare usually includes a supportive bra, light walking, and scar care to protect the results.
