This woman of Mediterranean descent presented with the complaint of heaviness over her eyelids. She stated that she was having difficulty applying eyeliner, eye shadow, and mascara. Evaluation demonstrated significant excess of thin upper eyelid skin, along with adequately positioned eyebrows. We agreed to perform an upper eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) under local anesthesia and mild oral sedation in our Center. Her results demonstrate significant improvement in her eyelid show and heaviness. She stated that make-up application is much easier due to the decrease in excess tissue above her lids. The sutures were removed after 6 days and she returned to work the next day.

This mother of three consulted with us for rejuvenation of her eyes. She stated that her eyelids looked heavy and the skin underneath her eyes seemed overly wrinkled.
