This patient is shown 3 days post-op after undergoing reduction mammaplasty. She initially requested implants as well, however, due to her degree of droopiness, we recommended a two-stage procedure to minimize the risk of nipple-areola necrosis. 321 grams were removed from her right breast. 329 grams were removed from her left breast.

Our 27 year old athletic patient underwent a Bilateral Breast Implant Removal (Explant) with Total Capsulectomy and Horizontal Pattern Breast Lift. She had her implants in for 5 years- they were causing severe discomfort with working out and laying on her stomach. She felt like they were falling out of her breasts and pushing on her upper rib cage. She had smooth silicone 375cc HP implants placed underneath the muscle. The implants had severely deformed and altered her breast crease - inframammary fold. I was able to perform a horizontal lift addressing the loose lower breast skin and reconstructing the violated inframammary fold back to its normal anatomical position. She is 9 months out from surgery and thrilled to be working out without any difficulty or pain and laying on her stomach without the implants causing issues.
