This woman in her early fifties with a ruptured saline implant wished to have her implants removed and met with Dr. Howell to discuss her options for breast enhancement.  She decided to have a partial open capsulectomy with removal of her implants and a breast lift.  She has great size, shape, and symmetry and is pictured before and five months after.

Patient is 5'6 and 134 pounds.  Dr. Schaffer placed Mentor smooth round moderate plus saline implants filled to 375 cc's under the muscle with an anchor breast lift several years ago.  Patient decided to have the implants removed and Dr. Schaffer was able to use the same small incision in her armpit for removal.

Saline Breast Implant Removal

This patient presented with several concerns, including breast asymmetry, with one breast larger than the other, and a desire for smaller implants. She also expressed frustration with persistent weight retention in the mid to lower abdomen. Her preoperative diagnosis included excess abdominal skin, rectus diastasis, flank and trunk lipodystrophy, aging breast implants, breast hypoplasia, and breast asymmetry. After a thorough consultation and evaluation, Dr. Delatte proceeded with a comprehensive surgical plan that included a full abdominoplasty, bilateral breast implant exchange, trunk and flank liposuction, and combined fat removal from the axilla.The breast implants were exchanged for saline implants, with 325cc placed in the left breast and 300cc in the right breast to address asymmetry and achieve a more balanced, natural appearance. To improve the abdominal contour, a full abdominoplasty was performed to remove excess skin, tighten the abdominal muscles, and correct the rectus diastasis. Liposuction was performed to address localized fat deposits, removing 1150cc of fat from the left flank and back, 1200cc from the right flank and back, and 1050cc from the abdomen. An additional 350cc of fat was removed from the axillary region to create a smoother, more defined overall contour.

This 43 year old woman is 5'5 tall and weighs 133 lbs. She presented requesting removal of her implants. She had a prior breast lift when she had 225cc silicone gel implants placed below the muscle 5 years prior. Her implants/capsule are still very soft but she has developed some recurrent ptosis, (sagginess). She had removal of her implants and a partial capsulectomy with a repeat mastopexy, (lift), to have better access to the implants/capsule for removal as well as reshaping the breast. Her scars are still quite pink as the results are shown early, 10 weeks, after surgery.

EXPLANTATION WITH FAT INJECTIONS: Dr. Tattini shows a follow up of one of his surgical patients in which he removed implants and did a lift with fat injections at the same time.

This patient had her implants removed, followed by a breast lift and small reduction to achieve a smaller, perkier breast.

42 year old female who had a breast augmentation with smooth round gel Allergan Inspira SRX implants R=400cc and L=420cc. She replaced them with smooth round gel Allergan Inspira SRF implants R=325cc and L=295cc. She was a 34D cup and went down to a 34C cup. She is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weights 150 lbs. She has two children. Her incision is in the breast fold and the implant is under the muscle.

60 year old female six weeks after removal and replacement implants. She had 375cc saline implants placed in 2007 elsewhere. She presented with a left implant deflation. Her implants were replaced with Allergan Inspira smooth round gel SRM 485cc implants underneath the muscle through a previous areolar incision. Her preoperative height was 5 feet 1 inch and her weight was 142 lbs. She was a 34C before surgery. She is now a 34C/D.
