The patient, in the past, has undergone a lower blepharoplasty and midfacelift with another surgeon. The patient states that as a result of that procedure, she developed some drooping of her right upper lip perhaps due to a branch injury of her facial nerve. As a result, she feels that her philtral column has shifted to the left of center and that her right upper lip is lower than the left upper lip by approximately 3 mm. She has requested a lip shortening procedure in order to gain more symmetry.
