30 year-old diabetic, worked hard for > 1 1/2 years to get her hemaglobin A1c down below 7 before I would operate on her (dabetics do not heal well when their blood sugars are up...). she was embarrased by her asymetry. I performed a curvilinear unilateral (left) LP, and "shaved" off the redundancy base of the right labum, but otherwise did not touch the right side. She healed well & recovered fantastically.
