Ptosis is a common condition that can occur at any age and is often caused by a slippage of the muscles that raises the eyelids making the eyes appear smaller. The added difficulty in her case was that she was prone to keloid scarring because of her skin type. To address this issue I performed an internal lid ptosis repair and avoided an external skin incision altogether. The after picture was taken 1 week after surgery.
